CaixaBank repays FROB funding

Earlier today Caixabank announced it had completed repayments of the €977 million funding received as part of the Spanish banking bailout funds paid out to Banca Civica, which Caixabank bought last year.

In a filing with Spain's market supervisor, Caixabank said it had repaid €989 million - including interest - to the Fund for Orderly Bank Restructuring, commonly referred to as FROB.
